The Eurotherm 590LDC 00 000 DRV LINK DC Drive is a DC motor controller package containing a 590 LINK PC drive, a DC contactor, and one or more AC power supply fuses.
Once you have installed and wired the drive, you can perform a check out procedure before you start the drive. This is to prevent damage to the components and also to prevent injury to other personal.
Before you start the drive, check the power supply voltage. Make sure it is the correct voltage. Also check the secondary power supply and make sure it also is the correct voltage. Check the motor and make sure it has the right specifications. That is, is the armature voltage correct? Also check the current rating.
Check all the wiring circuits connections for power, control, motor, and earth ground.
Carefully view the equipment and check for damage. Also look for debris that might be stuck or jammed in the drive and other devices. If you can, make sure you can easily move the motor with you hand. Make sure all fans can move and are intact. You might look for metal filings, metal shavings, and small bits of wires.
Make sure other personnel are not working on other parts of the system which would be affected by start up. Make sure that other devices and equipment nearby would not be affected by start up.
